This packet will provide your students with a variety of meaningful writing experiences, such as writing an advertisement, inventing a new machine and writing a description for it, and more. Activities are designed to allow each writer to draw upon his or her unique background of experiences to create prose. Ideas for sharing and extending writing across the curriculum are included. Writers are encouraged to use the steps of the writing process discussed in the Guide to the Writing Process. A proofreading checklist and Holistic Writing Evaluation form are included.
